Begin Authentication
You can authenticate a customer ID. The process begins with a text message to the customer.
Before you begin
Have the following information ready:
Customer phone number to receive a text message.
Begin authentication
In Hub, select Portal.
Type an Application Number. You must create an application number for your own tracking purposes; it is not provided by Intellicheck. The application number can be any combination of letters and numbers. Limitations are as follows:
Alphanumeric characters only (no spaces, dashes, or special characters)
Maximum length of 17
Minimum length of 2
In Language, select English, Spanish, or French.
In Document Type, select one of the following:
North American Driver's License/Identification Cards
Passport Booklet
Other Documents (Passport Cards, Non-North American Driver's License/ID)
Select results (your selections may vary):
Capture Face for facial recognition (selfie) capture
Criminal Background for a background check
Watchlist Insights for a watchlist check against the subscription tier
Click Begin Authentication Process.
In Phone Number, type the customer's mobile number, and then select Continue.
A text message is sent to the customer. The text message contains a link to begin.
Await results as the customer completes the ID authentication.

Error Messages
The following table shows error messages and their meanings.
Error | Meaning | Action |

Your transaction failed. Contact customer support to check that your Intellicheck customer ID is correct. | The Intellicheck Customer ID might be invalid. | You might need to change the Intellicheck Customer ID number. A user assigned to the Account Admin role can do this. In your Profile, make note of the Customer to which you are assigned. Then you or an account admin can select User Admin \> Customers. Find the customer to which you are assigned, and then select Edit. On the Edit Customer page, verify the Intellicheck Customer ID or change it if necessary. Click Update to save your changes. Select Portal, and then retry the authentication. |
