Search Transactions
This section describes how to search and filter transactions.
Basic transaction search
The basic transaction search box appears after you log in.
Click Start to accept the default selections for the Last 24 Hours with the View PII slider on (if available).
To change the default search selections, follow these steps:
Select a Customer to limit the transactions to that customer. You can pick from an alphabetical list of customers you're allowed to see. Depending on your role, you might only see one customer in the list.
You can also type a customer name in the search box. The list is filtered as you type.
Narrow down the transactions with a Time Frame.
Select a preset, for example, Last Week.
Or select Custom Dates to create your own time frame.
Click the calendar to pick a date and time.
Click View PII to toggle the slider on or off. This determines if PII is shown or hidden in the search results on the next page after you click Start.
Click Start. Transactions that match the basic selections are shown in descending order based on the date and time of the transaction.
The area across the top of the page is where you can edit the basic selections. This area replaces the basic transaction search box you saw after initially logging in.
Use the sidebar
Use the sidebar to refine the search. The sidebar works together with the basic selections to give you more options. For example, you can start with a basic search for a Time Frame of Last Month, and then you can use the sidebar to add a filter for a Jurisdiction, such as Pennsylvania.
Keep in mind the following rules:
Search terms must match exactly. For example, "Pennsylvania" is not the same as "PA".
Wildcard characters are not allowed. For example, "Penn*" is not a valid term for "Pennsylvania".
Case matters. Uppercase and lowercase terms are different. For example, "Pennsylvania" and "pennsylvania" are different.
You can search for anything that appears in a table column, even if that column is hidden. A search will still find results. For example, you can search for the last name "Smith" even if the Last Name column is hidden.
Information not shown in the transaction table is not searchable. For example, eye color is not shown in the table. Therefore, you cannot search for eye color.
Collapse the categories to save space or hide the parts you don't need.
Close the sidebar to provide more room for results. The table expands to fill the extra space.
Add filters
Add filters for Document Type and Transaction Source.
Add search terms
Add search terms for ID Fields and System Fields.
Use ID Fields to find information from the customer identification document, such as a First Name and a Last Name.
Use System Fields to find information about the authentication session, such as Transaction ID and Department.
Clear the search
Click Clear, and then click Apply. The search terms are reset to default values.
